Currently, there are two regulatory national organizations that offer national certification: the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB), which offers the Pharmacy Technician Certification Exam (PTCE); and the National Healthcare Association (NHA), which offers the Exam for the Certification of Pharmacy Technicians (ExCPT).
