Georgia Class D License Written Test Quiz 2025. If you’re under 18 and already have your learner’s permit (Class CP), then this is your next step. The Class D license is for teen drivers, usually between 16 and 18 years old. Itโs a โprovisionalโ license, meaning youโve got your foot in the doorโbut there are still some rules hanging over your head (weโll get to that).
The Class D license is Georgiaโs way of saying, โYouโre not a full-on adult driver yet, but you can drive with some rules.โ Itโs for teens whoโve had their learnerโs permit (Class CP) for at least a year and a day, and it comes with restrictions like no driving between midnight and 5 a.m. unless itโs for work or emergencies. You also canโt have too many passengers under 21 at first. Itโs like training wheels for drivingโfreedom, but with guardrails.
