Georgia Class D License Written Test Quiz 2026. If you’re under 18 and already have your learner’s permit (Class CP), then this is your next step. The Class D license is for teen drivers, usually between 16 and 18 years old. It’s a “provisional” license, meaning you’ve got your foot in the door—but there are still some rules hanging over your head (we’ll get to that).
The Class D license is Georgia’s way of saying, “You’re not a full-on adult driver yet, but you can drive with some rules.” It’s for teens who’ve had their learner’s permit (Class CP) for at least a year and a day, and it comes with restrictions like no driving between midnight and 5 a.m. unless it’s for work or emergencies. You also can’t have too many passengers under 21 at first. It’s like training wheels for driving—freedom, but with guardrails.

What’s on the Written Test?
The 2026 written test for the Class D license is made up of two parts:
-
Road Rules (20 questions) – All about what you should and shouldn’t do while driving. Like speed limits, 4-way stops, right-of-way, etc.
-
Road Signs (20 questions) – You’ve got to recognize stop signs, yield signs, speed limits, warning signs, and even those weird-shaped ones.
